Findings and conclusions
Overview of the complaint investigation
FWF reached out to Jack Wolfskin, the FWF member brand sourcing at this factory. Jack Wolfskin contacted the factory immediately and received the following feedback on 31 August:
The factory was surprised to hear that there was a complaint as they fully understand the impact of delayed payments on workers. Indeed, delayed payments are prohibited by this factory. What had occurred in this case was that there was a "payday" misunderstanding between the complainant and accounting department. The remaining salary was to be paid on the August payday, on 31 August.
The complaints handler contacted the complainant, who confirmed having received his/her due wage on the 31 August 2018.
The complaint has been closed.
