Concerning labour standards:
The complainant has been employed as a tailor in this factory for a year and three months. Two months ago, the complainant's supervisor asked him/her to fill in as a helper as all the helpers were on leave. The complainant stated having agreed to this on several previous occasions.
However, the complainant also pointed out that this had been occurring more frequently in recent times, and, concerned, he/she raised the issue with the supervisor. According to the complainant, the supervisor responded by verbally abusing him/her and demanding that he/she leave the job immediately. The complainant went to the HR manager to protest but no action was taken, and the complainant left immediately. Furthermore, the complainant stated that many workers are harassed in this way by this supervisor.
The complainant signed a resignation letter upon leaving but stated that the dues were not settled.
