Complaints handling
FWF considers a growth in complaints to be a good sign. This means that workers are becoming more aware of their rights and are more comfortable coming forward with grievances. Fair Wear Foundation members must post the Code of Labour Practices at all factories where they have production. This contains a helpline number for reporting workplace violations. When a complaint is filed, FWF notifies the member or members that source at that factory and requires the members to contribute to solving the immediate problem, together with factory management and any worker representatives. Members are encouraged to also identify and address the root causes of the problem. This overview shows all complaints filed since November 2017. For more information about this process, please see FWF’s Complaints Procedure.
