Two workers indicated that they did not receive their service benefits after resignation.

Complainant number 1 was working as a finishing supervisor from June 1997 to mid September 2019, when he willingly submitted his resignation as per law, due to his health issues. Factory management provided him almost 4 lacs taka including his salary and provident fund. However, the complainant did not give his service benefit yet. When the complainant asked for his service benefit, the management told him that the factory does not have such policy yet but that he will receive his money when the service benefit policy is adopted.

Complainant number 2 worked at the factory from June 2004 and willingly resigned in mid September 2019 due to some family issue. He got approximately 2.5 lacs taka in total of salary and provident fund. However, he has not yet received the service benefit.

Both of the complainants would like their service benefit.

New complaint

This is a new complaint that FWF has just filed. At this point in the procedure, the complaint is pending investigation, and FWF has not yet proven it to be grounded. Updates to the investigation will follow. The brand is requested to share the complaint with factory management and to get their perspective. Ideally, this includes obtaining documental evidence in addition to a statement from management.
