The complainant called on the audit day, at night. The complainant said that most of the workers are paid below the legal minimum wage (LMW). They get about 1150 TL/monthly however, every month they have to sign the official payroll document which shows they are paid equal to LMW. The official LMW is deposited at their individual bank accounts. However, the difference between the deposited LMW and the actual payment is the compensation for the part of the overtime worked by the worker. The remaining overtime premium is paid separately in cash. Also the complainant mentioned there are some permanent and daily workers unregistered in the factory. The complainant wants his problem followed up as a complaint urgently.
The audit team, that has been auditing the factory on 17 and 18 August found the same findings that are mentioned in the complaint, hence have included this in the audit report and CAP.
Follow up will be done through the CAP of the audit report.
