Morzina Begum started working in a garment factory at age 15. From the start, the work was incredibly difficult. She noticed that all the women and girls were treated badly. They were forced to work into the very late hours without pay, they weren’t allowed time off and pregnant women were forced to carry heavy items. No one spoke up. When Morzina tried, she was yelled at and treated badly. Morzina turned to Awaj Foundation for support, and they were able to show her how to raise her voice and make it heard. This is her story.
