At the end of 2022, Fair Wear entered the midway point of our strategic plan. We are proud to be entering this new phase with a positive outlook. Read more in the Fair Wear Annual Report 2022 that has just been published.

One core pillar of our work at Fair Wear is devising, designing and demonstrating how an industry tipping point can be reached. As a multistakeholder initiative, we do this in collaboration with the industry at large. Much of this work is to do with shifting the industry model from the incumbent compliance approach to brands carrying out OECD-based HRDD. In 2022, we made much progress on this work, which we’re continuing now in 2023.

In the report, you can:

  • learn about our new ‘HRDD facilitation tool’ and what it means for our member brands and the wider industry;
  • discover how we’re partnering with other MSIs to upscale our grievance mechanism, our complaints helpline;
  • read about our policy engagement activities in production countries and Europe; and,
  • find out about how we’re addressing internal power imbalances through our STITCH partnership.

Plus, much more!

EVERY ACTION WE TAKE IS A STEP TOWARD THE WORLD WE WANT TO SEE

A world where garment workers see their human rights realised, where change is driven through freedom of association, and the global value chain a source of safe, dignified and properly paid employment.

Being midway through 2023, we’re seeing the development of much of our work of 2022 and are ready to make new commitments for greater impact. Take a look!
