Brot für Alle, Max Havelaar and other FWF stakeholders gathered just outside of Bern this week to discuss FWF’s international activities.
Fastenopfer, the TVS Textilverband Schweiz and Transa joined the meeting as well. Besides stakeholders, FWF affiliate members Albiro, Mammut, Kjus, Manroof, Switcher and Odlo were present. The meeting took place in the office of member company Albiro.
The participants talked with FWF director Erica van Doorn about cooperation between members in dealing with complaints and sharing audit reports. The past few years affiliates are more open to the idea of sharing information and working together on FWF topics.
Erica visits Switzerland this week as part of the awareness campaign of Brot für Alle and Fastenopfer that was launched on Monday. The campaign aims to draw attention to labour conditions in the textile industry.
FWF’s Bangladesh liaison officer Shatil Ara also came to Switzerland and showed her support to the awareness campaign.
