Launch of the Fair Fashion Think Tank – a community for a fair and resilient industry

On 21 April, we launched the Fair Fashion Think Tank together with our partners from the Strategic Partnership for Garment Supply Chain Transformation (SP). The Fair Fashion Think Tank is a global community of experts and stakeholders who will be sharing their insights to help build a new normal for the garment supply chain. The Covid-19 pandemic has an impact on all of us; the garment industry is no exception.

Millions of garment workers and their families face financial and social insecurity without a safety net. Due to decades of power imbalance in the supply chains, their health and livelihoods are now at stake. We need to protect garment workers and businesses immediately as well as establish a long-term systemic change of garment supply chains. Now more than ever, we need to join forces to make the global garment supply chain sustainable, fair and resilient.

Our community of +/-150 experts from across the supply chain have already been working on changing the industry for years. For the coming 10 weeks we are documenting the steps we need to take to fundamentally transform the industry towards a fair future together.

The think tank app is now available on the app store and Google play store, access is invite-only.

The Fair Fashion Think Tank is organised by the Strategic Partnership for Garment Supply Chain Transformation (SP), consisting of Fair Wear Foundation, CNV Internationaal, Mondiaal FNV and the Dutch ministry of Foreign Affairs. The SP aims to fundamentally change the system of the global garment supply chain and has been working together for several years now.
