Serious Request shirt by P&P Projects

Between 18 and 24 December, during the 6th edition of Dutch radio 3fm’s Serious Request, Fair Wear Foundation ambassador P&P Projects designed the official Serious Request T-shirt. The eco-cotton shirt, featuring a DJ mike with a mosquito caught inside, refers to the topic of this year’s edition: the battle against malaria. Research shows that nets are the most effective way of preventing the disease. The shirt can be bought on www.glazenhuisshirt.nl. All profits go to Serious Request.

Serious Request is an annual radio campaign aimed at involving 3fm listeners – mostly young people – in global issues and raising money for a specific Red Cross project. For six days, DJ Giel Beelen and his colleagues are locked in a glass house – located this year in the central square of student city Groningen. They do not eat and present the show round the clock. See www.seriousrequest.3fm.nl.

P&P project is a ‘merchandise company’ that has been working with FWF since 2007. It is the agent for (T-)shirts by Continental Clothing, one of FWF’s affiliates.
